A lot of things have happened since my last post. I finished my intership and got another internship [with a publishing company] for next summer meaning I will spend another three months of 2009 in Munich - roughly six months total. I am pretty happy about that, I have my next two semester breaks and possibly the last two internships I will do before I graduate planned. While I am wondering if I shouldn’t spend more time in Heidelberg, I am glad I will spend that much time in Munich - because while it is relatively certain that I will leave Heidelberg after I graduate, it is nowhere near certain that I will be going back to Munich, so I should spend as much time here as I can while I’m still able to. I also talked to my former-and-again supervisor at the bookstore today, and I will be starting to work there again next week. So excited!

Then, Sheela is coming to visit tomorrow. She is staying until Monday and we will take the train back to Heidelberg together. We will be doing some sightseeing as well as be going to the Wiesn on Sunday with Tina and Julia. That will be fun. The Wiesn will be super-crowded, and usually I avoid going on the weekend but I haven’t had a chance to go yet so it looks like the weekend is our only option this year.

I only have like four days left in Munich before I move back to Heidelberg, which seems kind of crazy. I will not be back in Munich until Christmas after Monday, but I know the next semester will go by so quickly. It’s only twelve weeks before Christmas and then another three after Christmas break, and then I’ll [likely] be in Munich for another two months.

I have a few errands to run tomorrow before I pick up Sheela at the station, I have to return some books to the library, and I have to get my landline for Heidelberg sorted. I have finally decided what I will do - and a contract with my cellphone provider seems like the best option. It will essentially be a cellphone but with a landline number and that only works in [and around] my apartment, and I will pay €9.95 a month for unlimited calls to German landlines.

Anyway, now I still have to do some cleaning before Sheela arrives, so I will be writing again when I am in Heidelberg [with pictures of Munich & the Oktoberfest!].

I am feeling really pretty shitty right now, but as it is about something I can’t / don’t want to talk about publicly, I’ll just write about everything else. Maybe it’ll also help distract me.

Yesterday I went to see a movie with Tina and Lissy and two of her friends. They have a sneak preview at a movie theater here every week where you get to see a movie that hasn’t come out yet. Yesterday’s was Pineapple Express and that movie? Was so hilarious! I honestly laughed so much I was crying. It is a bit silly at times, but just so funny. What a fun time!

This weekend I think I need to finally take care of the stuff I brought back from Heidelberg. I have pretty much had the boxes sitting around and not done anything with them. Speaking of Heidelberg, I went to IKEA again with my brother and got some remaining stuff for my room. I also got curtains [will have to do some sewing this weekend as well, ungh!]. Basically I got another pack of the curtains I had in Barcelona [I brought those back to Germany]. I was going to get different ones that are not transparent, but they’re so expensive, and I would have had to get two packs because the window is just a bit wider than IKEA curtains are. So I’ll just see if this works before I spend any more money.

Tuesday was Sandra’s birthday, and it was a really fun too. She made such good food, and I had a good time talking to two other girls there mostly. Thursday was the interview for another internship, and I think it went well, but I’ll see what they say when they get back to me. I still have plenty of time to find something else to do next summer if this one doesn’t work out anyway. Applying for a job / internship really is a science in itself but it’ll be good to have some practice and experience, whether good or bad.

I have two days left at work, and nine days in Munich. Sheela might come to visit next week, and I’d be really excited if she did, I’d love to show her my hometown and go to the Wiesn with her. Looks like this last week in Munich won’t get boring. I hope I’ll be able to see all of my friends again before I leave.
