Ever since I finished that paper on Wednesday early morning? I have done nothing. Well, I may have done something, but nothing worth mentioning or productive. I have not touched any of my school books or notes, and I still have two papers to write by Sunday [they're not due then but Monday I need to start studying for my first final].

I have also not gone on any day trips [to Girona or Sitges or wherever] because the weather is still crappy. Meanwhile back home in Germany it is over 30°C [85°F] because you know, as of this spring, Germany is the country with the nice weather, and Spain only gets the crappy weather. I do have to admit that the cooler, overcast weather [with around 20°C/70°F] is better for running, but that is the only thing it is good for.

Fruit Salad - Ingredients But anyway, enough of the weather, it seems all I ever talk about lately, so let’s talk about food! Today I made fruit salad. And even though the weather is not at all summer-ish, the ingredients for my fruit salad were. And that makes me happy. Because I love summer fruit. Making fruit salat is a bit of a pain because you have to chop all these fruits [using cherries and grapes with seeds make it even worse] but the result is so worth it. It was absolutely delicious.

It made for a great afternoon snack and dessert after dinner [pizza margherita, yum!], and I believe there is even some more left over in the fridge.

And while we are talking about fruit, I would have never thought that fruit juice and milk would taste good together, but there is this beverage brand here called Funciona and their beverages are actually really tasty and refreshing.

By the way, I have finally decided to become a bit more active on 20-Something Bloggers, and have added some of you on there, but I am not sure if I have missed any. Please let me know if you are a member so I can add you (you can find me here). And also let me know if you are on Twitter and I haven’t added you there yet (find me here).

I am sitting in my bed, wrapped in my blanket, wearing freshly washed pajamas and a hoodie that smell clean - like our aloe vera washing detergent that I love so much. My feet are hurting a little from walking around and standing at the party, but can relax now and my legs that were cold from being stuck in my wet jeans for hours are finally being warmed. Perfect.

Tonight Anna and her roommates had an international food party [fiesta de comida internacional] and it was really great. There was so much good food, and as always it was great to see Anna again. I chose to go with Tina’s suggestion and made a potato salad and wieners, quite typical German [Bavarian?] food. I did “cheat” a bit [because Ruben and his co-worker Michael did not arrive until quite late and I started on the food pretty late] and just bought some egg salad and potatoes, cooked, peeled and sliced the potatoes at home and mixed them with the ready-made egg salad. But it actually turned out pretty well, if I may say so myself. Definitely a time-saving method of making potato salad.

We got to the party a little late and I was soaked after the 10 minute walk to Anna’s house [I may have been the only person in Barcelona carrying an umbrella but not using it, but I really do not like umbrellas]. Anna took a picture of me just as I got there. [The other person is Michael.] Yes, it was raining really badly.

Arriving at Anna's place

There was so much food from all over the world, it was amazing. I am glad Anna and her roommates had this idea, it was fabulous. There was this American guy there who made cherry cobbler with ice cream and it was amazing. Will have to try that when I’m back home [no oven here]. And the South American pastries someone brought, so good [and so sweet, made my teeth hurt]. Anna made apple strudel which was really good too. Seems like I enjoyed the sweet food most, haha!
