This week’s SPF theme is ‘Your tribute’. I must admit I did not really know what to do with this theme, and I am still not sure if I am doing this right, but anyway, here it goes.

SPF: Your tribute

This is a picture I took at a concert of the band Lifehouse in June 2003 [hence the bad quality, this was pre-digital camera for me]. I first became a fan of them in early 2001 [thanks to Randy, a good friend, who introduced me to their music] and I think I listened to their first album No Name Face more than any other album. Lifehouse meant and means so much to me, not just for their music which is amazing, but because it got me in touch with many people via their official message board. That message board vanished years ago, but our contact hasn’t: I am still in touch with many and some have become good friends. I also know that a few [sometimes intercontinental] relationships have been formed by people who first met via that message board which is beautiful. All that is why Lifehouse will always have a special place in my heart.

So, did you play?

LOVE this tribute. Lifehouse is very important to me, too.
I last saw them with J in 2005 in a small club in SF. We bumped into them before the concert around the corner from the venue, when they went out for dinner before the concert in a little burger shop. So funny and such nice memories!!

Oh my God. That was such a crazy time. I mean, I even went to Hamburg to see them. :D Although I don’t really listen to them anymore, I’m sooooo glad that they sort of directed me towards a deeper meaning of music and towards several people I’ve become close friends with.
Interesting that Jason is wearing a Boston shirt in this picture. He foresaw my future ;)

Yeah, I remember the trip to Hamburg. I went there only for the concert. You and Tina at least spent a couple of days there, right?

    I LOVE this idea!

I may have to nab it, even though I’d technically be “late” for the SPF thing (which I’m still a bit fuzzy on)

I remember the old LH days too. It just isn’t the same anymore.

Wow, I love Lifehouse as well but never checked that message board. Was so unaware of the impact that might have had…

I have a friend in Austin that pretty much worships them! I only have one CD and it was pretty great:-)

I played as well this week…late…again…but I played!
