Dear Vodafone people,
please do not blame my phone the next time you don’t get the Vodafone Live settings right. There was no software error on my phone. There was absolutely no need for me to send in my phone and be without it for a week or even longer.
The problem was actually quite simple: while you did send me the Vodafone Live settings, you never actually changed the default access point to Vodafone Live. Why do I need to figure that out by myself?! Isn’t that what you are there for? How can it be that you spend 20 minutes playing with the settings on my phone and not once check whether the connection is actually established via the right access point?
And rest assured I will return to the store tomorrow and tell you about your own stupidity. Please, dear God, let the same two guys be working there tomorrow. One would think they know what they’re doing, but apparently not so. (And if it really turns out all the times they tried to connect me to Vodafone Live via the wrong access point - using web.vodafone.de instead of live.vodafone.de - cost me money, I will be one pissed off customer.)
No love,
Viviane
(Taken today on my way home from class with my cellphone.)
I was going to write a recap of last night but now I am about to go out, so I will just leave you with these pics for now. I had a great time - thanks to my friends who came out with me and all of you who remembered my birthday and called me or sent me messages. :) You can see bigger versions of these pics and a bunch more here on Flickr (if you have an account and are on my friends list).
Last weekend my neighbor Jenny had a brunch for her birthday, and we had a great time. Good food, and we played a fun card game called “Attribut” (attribute), which was great. Did I mention that I love my neighbors? Love the community in this house.
This past week I have not been up to that much. Work has been a bit frustrating, but I will not talk about that publicly, I’ve just not been very happy there lately. [If I do write about it, it will be privately sometime.]
Tuesday I got my new phone. I had ordered it on Friday night, so they processed the order really quickly. I am glad because my contract expired on Friday so I did have my phone working (prepaid) but no minutes to actually use it. I totally love my new phone, it’s awesome. I haven’t really figured out most of the features yet because manuals and I don’t get along. [Translation: I am too lazy to read them.]
Tuesday night Bea and I went out to the Villa for some drinks and we had a really good time as you can see from the picture (you can also see my new phone).
I sent out an e-mail to everyone about my new number, so if you didn’t receive it but think you should have my cellphone number, let me know.
Today I met up with the other Barcelona girls for lunch and we talked about some stuff. We still need to do some paperwork here before we leave. The other day I got an e-mail from UB saying I am officially accepted to the university, so woohoo! I guess it is truly official now. I still need to write my termpaper and apply for my Zwischenprüfung [pre-diploma] before I leave, though.
Tomorrow is my birthday and I’ll be going out with a bunch of friends tomorrow night to celebrate and next weekend I will do the same in Munich. I am really excited about that. I haven’t been home in over two months. :) Well, anyway, I am going to end this now and enjoy the last few minutes of my existence as a 23 year old. ;) Have a good weekend.
