I am still sick, but feeling much better today, so I decided I would write about the Incubus concert. I met up with Susi and Andrea at Marienplatz Monday night and we took the subway to Freimann. The concert took place at the Zenith, which is really in the middle of nowhere. Anyway, we got there and waited around for an hour or so. Next time I go to a concert I think I’ll just show up 15 minutes before it starts. Anyway, the supporting band was The Duke Spirit. They were alright, nothing special though.

Incubus started playing at around 2115 I think. They were really excellent. Put on an amazing live show, I had a good time. We were sort of in the front but to the side, which was fine, though I moved a little further to the side because people were crushing me. Anyway, yeah, good show. The only thing is, they played only for about 1hr 20 mins. I had expected a little more, and so had everyone else. We were all a bit disappointed at the end. Now that I know why they cut the show short, I can understand, I just wish they had said something: Mike (the guitarist) has Carpal Tunnel and he was in so much pain he could not play anymore, and they actually canceled all concerts after Munich until mid-May. Now I feel really lucky I got to see them and not have another concert canceled that I wanted to go to (remember Snow Patrol?).

They played: Quicksand, A Kiss to Send Us Off, Wish You Were Here, Have You Ever, Anna Molly, Paper Shoes, When It Comes, Redefine (remix), Drive, Earth to Bella, Under My Umbrella, Light Grenades, Love Hurts, Sick Sad Little World, Jam (Jose, Ben, Kil for 3-4 min), Megalomaniac.

So yeah, I’d go see Incubus live again any day.

Speaking of, if you go to Incubus’ myspace, and go through the concerts, you will find one saying

Southside Festival Neubiberg (Munich)

You may wonder, yes and your point is?; well Neubiberg is the suburb of Munich that I live in (when I am at home). June 22nd is also one day before my birthday and a Saturday. Sounds to good to be true? Unfortunately, you are right. The Southside Festival was moved to Neuhausen ob Eck (wherever that is) years ago. I wonder why Incubus haven’t gotten that memo yet, but unfortunately we haven’t had it in town in years. Snow Patrol would also be there… Oh well… Can’t have everything, and I guess having Incubus and Snow Patrol essentially playing in my backyard is a little too much to ask for, right?!

Anyway, I found a video someone made at the concert at YouTube, and thought I would post it here. I decided not to take my camera so I didn’t take any pictures myself. You can see it here.
