Say hi to my new mp3 player, the Sandisk Sansa e270. I do not actually have it yet, but I ordered it Friday night, and I should get it on Friday or Saturday. I checked its status online and it says it will be shipping on Thursday.

I had a hard time deciding which mp3 player to get, as I was considering this one as well as the iPod nano, but I got a chance to try it out at Saturn in Munich, and I really liked it. It has 6GB flash memory, and you can add up to 2GB via a Micro SD card. It plays music and videos and you can store photos on it as well. And one big plus is, you can exchange the battery yourself, so you do not have to send it in if it does need to be replaced. I am really excited about getting it, just three (or four) more days!

Another good thing: I got to see he first four episodes of the new season of 24 as well as the first 12 minutes of episode 5. There are quite a few new characters (no surprise after they killed off half of the main characters last season), but I like it so far. Two more weeks until I get to see how episode 5 continues.

By the way, a short note about the weather (I know, interesting topic). You have no idea how happy it makes me when I remember that days are getting longer again. I hate winter because it gets dark so early, but now it only gets better, at least until June. I think, I have some mild form of SAD; the lack of sunshine really affects my mood negatively.
Other than that the weather has been way too mild for January. I do not think Heidelberg has had any snow yet, and today it was 14°C (57°F) warm! I like the mild weather, but knowing the causes & consequences of this climate change, I cannot really enjoy it, because global warming is pretty damn scary!
