Today I went to the Oktoberfest with Tanja and Julia. We had a good time. The subway ride to go there was terrible as usual (think people squeezed in like tuna in a can). We rode Frisbee which is my favorite ride, and ate some yummy food. I got strawberries covered in chocolate, and Julia and Tanja got banana covered in chocolate. Then we also got gebrannte Mandeln (sweet almonds?) and just walked around a little, and then walked to the movie theater (so we wouldn’t have to squeeze into the subway again).
(And yes, I did go over my points allowance, but not by much so it’s all good. I’ll easily be able to save some points over the next few days.)
We went to some stores for a while cos we still had plenty of time until the movie started. We saw “Crash” and it was really good. It was kind of hard to keep track of how the characters were related to each other, but other than that it was a great movie! Made me realize how different that world is from mine. And I am thankful for that.
in 48 hours I’ll be in Heidelberg. I have pretty much everything packed with the exception of bathroom things I still need and some clothes that haven’t dried yet. I am a little worried we will be able to fit everything in the car. It just looks like so much stuff, and I really thought about what to take, and didn’t pack unnecessary things. A friend of my brother will be helping and taking some stuff in his car. I am still not sure we’ll be able to fit everything - especially the three pieces of furniture. But I will see how it works out. Not much I can change now anyway.
I don’t have any plans for tomorrow yet, other than packing the rest of my stuff. I am hoping though that Eva and I will be able to hang out.
Gosh, I am so looking forward to unpacking everything again… not. I hate moving. It’s so much work, and I don’t think I’ll settle down any time soon. I don’t want to settle down, but at the same time I wish I didn’t have to do all the work when I do move.
I have made some tentative plans for New Year’s, and right now it looks pretty safe I’ll be visiting Susi in Paris. Yeah! I have never been there, so I am very excited. I’ve also found a cheap way of getting there, so I think I’ll be able to afford it. It will be awesome! I love going to new places. :)
Right, I am tired now, so I’ll go to bed. Cross your fingers everything will go well with the moving.
