Since the last time I wrote, my mom has come out of the hospital. She’s feeling pretty well again.

Last week I hung out with my friends a lot, and then I was busy with apartment hunting online. I picked out a lot of ads, and then Friday I called all of them.

Saturday my dad and I drove to Heidelberg and looked at a total of four apartments. We took the 4th which is a room with a kitchenette, pretty big (bigger than the last) and I share the bathroom with a roommate.

It’s really cheap and a lot of things are already included in the rent (all utilities, cable, wireless internet, and the basic fee for the phone). It is pretty nice, and I’ll be moving in on the first weekend in October. I’m pretty excited. I hope I can make it look nice. It’s furnished, and the kitchenette will be all new (they’ll be replacing it in the next 6 weeks). But I will still be able to decorate it and give it some of my own touch.

Tomorrow I’m going to IKEA with my mom and brother and we’ll be looking at some stuff for the apartment.

Right now I am pretty tired, so I’m off to bed.

I have not written an actual entry in here in a while. But I have not been up to much.

I applied for an internship at two publishers but I haven’t heard back yet so I am thinking I’ll ask around at grocery stores and other stores downtown for a summer job. I did hear back from SBS but they wrote they don’t have a position they could offer me. Oh well, I expected that.

Last week I went to the movies with Tina. We saw “Mr & Mrs Smith” which was pretty good but a little lengthy at times. Fun nevertheless. After that we went to check out the KFC that just opened here in Munich. I didn’t eat because I wasn’t hungry but it looked nice. They don’t have any biscuits though which sucks! I don’t get how KFC can not have biscuits. But anyways, it is kinda far from here so I have a feeling I won’t be going there that much. Maybe every now and then before or after a movie. (It is close to the movie theater I always go to.)
After the movie we went downtown and I bought four books and some cute pyjamas. I am already almost done reading one of the books - “True Believer” by Nicholas Sparks.

Today my mom had her surgery, so I visited her in the hospital afterwards. The surgery went well so hopefully now there won’t be any complications and my mom will feel better soon so she can come home on the weekend. I stayed with her for two hours but she got tired so I left. My dad also went to visit her tonight, and I think my brother is going to visit her tomorrow. The hospital is kinda at the other end of Munich so it takes foreverrr to get there.

After I left the hospital I went downtown and bought a ring and a pendant. I wasn’t going to get a ring but when I saw it I couldn’t leave without it, it was so gorgeous. I also got a cute pendant that I am wearing right now. Here they are:
