I got an invitation to join a national honor society. Nice. Except obviously I can’t join cos I won’t even be a student in the US anymore next academic year. But man, it is frustrating how well I do here, and then I have to go back to Germany. And my grades won’t be worth anything, or only very little. *sigh*
But hey, it is still a boost for my self-esteem, so that’s something. ;D
Dear Prospective Gamma Beta Phi Society Member:
On behalf of the Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society, congratulations on having achieved a grade point average that ranks you within the top twenty percent of your respective class. Because of this, you have met the scholastic eligibility requirement for joining the Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society at the University of Oklahoma.
I will start my internship next week. I talked to RC today and he was fine with it. Man, he’s such a nice man. If everyone there is like that it really will be great to work there. I still have to figure out my working times, and how much I want to work (I can only work on Tuesdays, and Thursdays though).
I still haven’t completely given up on getting a new DS-2019 somehow, though. But more or less. I think it’s 99% safe to say that I’ll be back in Germany on June 10th. *sigh* No birthday or Independence Day for me then (at least not here).
I was thinking this and next week would be relaxing for me, but I have so much to prepare for the week after that I cannot actually do that on the weekend before, so I will start now. Need to finish reading three books by Monday. And then get up to date on my Italian vocab, and start studying for Psychology. This time I’ll start studying earlier than last time (I started two days before the exam). I mean I did get an 87 but that’s not good enough. For me a B in that class is not acceptable so I have to work on my grade a bit.
Well, I will actually go get some more work done while I’m not feeling too tired. Toodles!
